Festive and beautiful, this Christmas tree fruit platter is very easy to make and only requires five ingredients!
Fruit platters are my go to before any holiday because they are FAST and kid friendly. Eva loves marshmallows. It’s something easy you can make together as a family that doesn’t involve an oven or timer.
It doesn’t snow much around here, but I really wanted this Christmas fruit tree to have some snow. So I used mini marshmallows to act as snow, but you could also use white chocolate chips or white sprinkles.
TIPS
- Use a darker colored platter. This helps the snow to stand out more. You can still use a white platter if that is all you have, but the marshmallow snow will be hard to see.
- When cutting the star from pineapple, it’s okay if you don’t have a piece large enough. I used two different pieces to cut the top and bottom of the star separately. I wanted it to all be edible so I did not use any part of the pineapple core.
HOW TO MAKE CHRISTMAS FRUIT PLATTER
- Get your fruit ready! Peel the kiwis, and then slice them into thin pieces as shown below. Then slice the raspberries in half lengthwise. This helps them to lay flat against the “tree” and not roll around everywhere. Cut a star out of the pineapple if you would like a star at the top of the tree.
- Assemble the tree by placing one slice of kiwi close to the top of the platter. Place two slices right below, and then three and so on. You can overlap the slices or place them side by side. If you place them side by side, the tree will quickly get wider.
Then use the raspberries as “ornaments” and decorate the tree with them.
Place the pineapple star at the very top of the tree.
Lastly, make the tree stump. Center the pretzel sticks side by side below the last row of kiwi. - Let it snow! Sprinkle marshmallows at the very bottom of the tree, and then place a few around the tree to look like snow falling.
- Cover with plastic wrap and keep this beauty in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Yes. Cut fruit should always be refrigerated. The maximum time to leave it out at room temperature is two hours.
